two months ago... it was december

remember how i said i would update decemeber/christmas a tad late?? ya well here we are almost at valentines day.. better late than never is my favorite phrase ;) okay so hopefully my super awesome (insert sarcasm here) mommy brain can remember all the crazy stuff that went on that month.

okay so soon after thanksgiving we got the house all decorated for the season with full on traditional christmas tree! but kyland made sure that i still had my charlie brown tree also ( love how that guy thinks). kyland was so excited for christmas lights and he did a perfect job hanging them, he's already thinking about what we can do next year. our ward party was polar express themed which the girls loved because they totally got into that movie this year, they got to ride the polar express all the way to the north pole and got to say hi to santa. a&r were over the moon to be able to see the big guy, stella was less than thrilled. We went to the live nativity which is my fave fave part of the christmas season! i wish i could make it each night ;) the girls LOVED getting to see baby jesus and when it was over allyson was clapping and said "hooray hooray for baby jesus!!! BRAVO!!" so she kinda loved it. We also had lots of performances we go to go to, Uncle Kole had his orchestra concert, uncle bubba sang at town square, and auntie K had her dance performance! We also went and saw all the fun lights at the cactus garden, over at ethel M. The girls thought it was the most perfect night! normally looking at cacti is not at the top of my list but all decorated they looked really pretty! we are going to make that an every year thing! Stella turned ONE in december. Her actually birthday fell on a Monday so that night we drove around neighborhoods looking at all the beautiful christmas lights. The big girls loved getting to point out all of the Olaf's (snowmen). We spent Christmas Eve over at the Jones' and had a fabulous yummy dinner! (go H for cooking such a delish brisket). that night the girls were so excited for "santa" to come. Kyland and I totally woke up christmas morning before all of the girls so we woke them up and they all were really excited to open their presents. They had been itching to do it since i had wrapped them. Which by the way who came up with the idea that we should wrap up a bunch of presents?? i can tell you it was someone who didn't have 3 little girls all ages 3 and under, because let me tell you... nobody has time for that ;) i got to open my present form kyland last and can i just tell you that the boy totally went crazy?? I'm typing on my gift as we read... did you guess what it is?? a MAC computer!! mostly i just stare at its beauty in awe, but i am getting the hang of some of it! after we opened prezzies we headed to my parents house to have the traditional monkey bread and loco hot coco breakie feast! and we(the girls) also had a mound of prezzies to open up there! we finished up our year by seeing the movie frozen with nan and the kids and bebe, which allyson and ruby loved! all i hear is "mommy can we buy the frozen movie yeeeeeeeetttttt." We had a an awesome december and since i am a lame loser and did not get christmas cards out i wish all of our friends and family a happy healthy wonderfully fabulous 2014, i think its going to be one of the best years yet! xoxo
